Before going to a bar you have to find out, I think you found the address on the internet, it's hard to come across this place by chance.2. Not all bars have a sunny terrace near a famous fountain serving spritzes and mojitos in 5min to brew tourists' money, some concepts are innovative and so much the better.3. The €5 fee is announced on the website

This is a rare gem. Hidden in the basement this speakeasy which requires you to sign up for a €5 membership is offering a rich range of cocktails in a non-smoking and smoking room. Very cool crew and similar guests. Try the absinth!

Downstairs right side for smoking and left for non smoker beside the bar. Limited whiskey selection but great ambiance and music. Wifi is available but no signal for the phone. Jake Palmer: A small group of us visited Argot on a weeknight. We were greeted at the door by a friendly face who escorted us down to a cozy space downstairs. We had an amazing tobacco old fashioned, as well a two excellent gin drinks there. As a cocktail enthusiast, I loved every drink we shared at Argot. If you’re in Rome and want a specialty cocktail, don’t miss this place!

Maria: Me and my boyfriend went here late on a Wednesday night and thoroughly enjoyed our cocktails with an amazing homely atmosphere. It appeared to be a bar that the locals drink in and is not 'touristy' at all. Our cocktails were extremely tasty and at a reasonable price. We were lucky that it was quiet when we went and it has a 'secret bar' vibe to it which added to the ambience. This is my favourite bar that I visited in Rome.

Ian McGuigan: . We visited twice in our 4 days in Rome and we're already booking another trip. The other reviews about it being too expensive, or saying the barmaid was rude seems unlikely to me. She was chatty but knew when to give my boyfriend and I space to spend time together. My boyfriend and I are both 19 and gay, and I didn't feel judged at all while in this bar, we both felt totally comfortable and were holding hands, sharing drinks etc., I would 100% recommend this bar and i hope to be back soon!!!

Carolina Leal: I know this place has gotten some not so great reviews so I was a little nervous after when I made my reservation.When we arrived, we were treated wonderfully and our server, Nicole, and who I assume was the manager, Matteo, make it such a memorable experience.They were attentive and friendly.When there was a cancellation, we were offered closer seats to the colosseum and it’s a memory I’ll have with me forever!

I would really recommend getting there for when it opens up as you will get the best seats. The cocktails were €27 each!!! But you did get a selection of free snacks with them.
