Vittoria B.: . The Villa, built on the Gianicolo above the remains of an ancient Roman villa, has a splendid view over Rome, above all from the beautiful loggia decorated with fantastic stuccos. Today it is the seat of the Finnish Institute of Studies which kindly allows you to visit it for free by appointment.

Valentina Sabeni: Today headquarters of the Finnish Institute, Villa Lante is a wonderful villa located on the Janiculum hill. From its elevated position it is possible to admire incredible views over Rome.Starting from June 2023 it will not be possible to visit the villa which will be closed for renovation.The design of the villa is by Giulio Romano, Raphael's favorite pupil. Some pupils of the artist from Urbino such as Maturino and Polidoro da Caravaggio worked on the decorations.In the hall you can admire some stuccoes by Antonio Canova.The spearhead is the loggia: elegant, decorated with stuccos by Giovanni da Udine. You can enjoy a view of Rome that goes from the Colli Albani to the Vatican. Of the four columns, three are in Pavonazzetto marble and are reused, while the last one has a lighter column.Pay attention also to the door, of a very light green, with a dated, very particular structure.Also delightful is the sort of small gazebo covered by a climbing plant and with a table and chairs in the center located outside the villa.Exceptional welcome from the staff in charge.
Angela: Few know this place, one of the best preserved Renaissance testimonies in Rome, together with Villa Madama. Splendid view, the well-known one, yes, of the Gianicolo which dominates one of the most beautiful glimpses of Rome.Villa Lante is now the seat of the Institute of Finland.It can be accessed by reservation: I was lucky to intercept the Open Days in which access was free, the last few because it will be closed for restoration for a couple of years.

Antonio Picano: Un bellissimo museo, ben studiato ed elegante. La parte fotografica che descrive Istanbul è attuale e molto accattivante. La parte archeologica, mi è sembrata un poco scontata. Il secondo piano con le unità di misura e la descrizione pittorica della Istanbul medievale è strepitosa. Ottimo il caffè. Metà non abbastanza valorizzata
ROSSELLA SAVARESE: Rinnovata di recente forse per intervento privato. Da lì si gode a che la vista del Cupolone. Il bar è gestito bene. Ambiente raffinato. Ma non ha area di parcheggio autonomo.
